  	He was born August 19, 1954 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Betty and Oliver VanDan. He is also preceded in death by his brother Robert Van Dan. He was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church. Mr. VanDan was a lifetime owner of Canoe and Trail in Tylertown, Mississippi; he was a tour guide of river trips all over the United States. Mr. VanDan was also an accomplished archer since the age of fourteen. On July 1, 2006 he was in an accident where his three-year-old son Connor walked a mile to find help that saved his life. Wilmon loved the Lord and was known as a prayer warrior for his family. Survivors include his wife of 18 years Kim VanDan; son Connor VanDan; sisters Neithea (Gerald) Wood and Patricia Weaver, brothers Gilmon (Belinda) VanDan , Bartis (Debra) VanDan ; and sister-in-law Christel VanDan. Alongwith a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
