- Larry C. Siegersma, 71, of Georgetown, Texas formerly of League City, Texas passed away on February 8, 2014 in Georgetown. Larry was born on July 12, 1942 in Princeton, Minnesota to Charlie and Jane DeVries Siegersma. He graduated from the Milaca Minnesota High School in 1960 as his class Salutatorian. He was united in marriage to Joan Wolff, Sept 5, 1964 in St. Louis MO.
Larry was a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, serving in the Reserves for 31 years. A proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Larry knew his education would serve him well. He began his business career with Missouri Pacific Railroad before moving to the Penreco Division of Pennzoil Corporation. He devoted 25 years to Penreco where he eventually retired as an International Sales Manager. He was a member of the Foundry Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church of Georgetown. Larry thoroughly enjoyed volunteering his time at Cross Roads Homeless Ministry as a cook in Houston, Texas. Larry was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing the White Wing Course in Sun City. Years ago he made a hole in one when he was living in Detroit, Michigan. There are some things that you remember about yourself and laugh at and enjoy and those memories serve one well yet the memories that others have of you carry the family a long way. Larry stood tall. He was a dutiful servant of God, a leader, a man of his word and a gentleman. He is survived by his wife, Joan Wolff Siegersma of Georgetown; daughter, Michele (Gary) Goodson of Cypress, TX; grandchildren: Lauren and Madison Goodson of Cypress, TX; brother, Wesley (Barb) Siegersma of Pine Island, MN; and sisters: Kathy (Leon) Kooiman of Escondido, CA, Carol (Charlie) Brown of Delano, MN and brother-in-law, Don (Carolyn) Wolff of Chesterfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday,
