She attended Kerney College, then taught school for one year before being married. She married Russell Scofield of Wallace, Nebraska on April 15, 1951. Norma worked for many years at the San Mateo County Election Department.. She is survived by two sisters Erma Jean (and Lane) Young, and Marjorie (and Vance) Arnold. three brothers Gayle (and Marlys) Bierma, Charles (and Mary) Bierma, and Lester (and Llewelyn) Bierma and a sister in law (Mary Bierma). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Norma leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, her four devoted children Mike (and Linda) Scofield, Randy Scofield, Christi Scofield (and her husband Dr. Jeff Frost) and Rod Scofield) plus three grandchildren, Andrea and Marcus Scofield, and Rachel Frost
